Classified Advertising Standards:
The Syracuse New Times will accept submissions of adult classified advertising, although it will not knowingly, publish advertisements for any illegal goods, services, or offers. Classified advertising will not accept submissions that it considers to be discriminatory to, nor will it discriminate against advertisers on the basis of a person's race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, marital status, pregnancy, application to or present membership in the uniformed services, veteran status, arrest/conviction record, disability, or any other protected class or status.
The following is unacceptable for publication in The Syracuse New Times, this list is not all-inclusive:
The Syracuse New Times cautions its adult advertisers to refrain from excessive use of overly-suggestive language, especially if it could be misconstrued as alluding to illegal activities.
The Syracuse New Times cannot be held responsible for the activities of its advertisers, nor can it be expected to police advertisers' behaviors outside the specific context of ad placement. Although the Syracuse New Times privacy policies prevent the disclosure of personal information, the Syracuse New Times will willingly cooperate with the authorities when legally required to do so.
The Syracuse New Times reserves the right to update its policies at any time for any reason and also reserves the right to refuse advertising to anyone for any reason. Further, Syracuse New Times reserves the right to edit content that does not meet the standards of the publication.
CHECK YOUR AD
Advertisers should check their ads on the first day of publication. Syracuse New Times shall not be liable for typographical errors or errors in advertisements except to the extent of the cost of the first day's insertion of the ad, and shall also not be liable for damages due to the failure to publish an ad. Adjustment for errors is limited to the cost of that portion of the ad wherein the error occurred.
